Few foods are as closely tied to the Greek table as lamb. From Easter feasts to Sunday family gatherings, lamb is the food of celebration and good company. At Alysso we serve it in two ways our guests love.

Slow-cooked lamb shank

The shank is the cut of the leg that needs time. It is cooked slowly until the meat falls off the bone, tender and juicy. At Alysso we serve it with mashed potatoes and balsamic cream, in a portion of up to 600 grams. It is one of the dishes our guests mention most often in their reviews.

Lamb chops

Lamb chops are the ultimate Greek grill food: a little salt, pepper, oregano and the right grilling. Ours come with fresh fries and sage mayonnaise, in a portion of up to 400 grams. As the Greeks say, they are best eaten with your hands.

What to order with them

Start with a Greek salad or a dakos and some tzatziki, which always goes well with lamb. To finish, a handmade galaktoboureko with lemon syrup rounds off the meal just right.

Come to Alysso

You will find us in Psyrri, at Navarchou Apostoli 11, a few minutes from Monastiraki, every day from 1 pm to midnight. See our menu.
